Primus CrossFit is a CrossFit Affiliate serving the Orlando area. At  Primus, we are supportive of hard-core fitness. You won’t find a spa, basketball courts, mirrors or muscle isolation machines here.  We support the CrossFit method of fitness. Outfitted with everything you will need to promote optimal fitness and nothing you don’t.

Over the years most commercial gyms have banned Olympic Weight Lifting (just try dropping weights and see how long you last before you’re asked to leave), plyometrics – even grunting and yelling.

The predominate model in commercial facilities is the bodybuilding model: all machines and isolation work. Machines and isolation movements require little or no knowledgeable instruction or coaching whereas serious strength, endurance and conditioning requires less equipment and considerable expertise on the part of the instructors.

CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (e.g. pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, and running) executed at high intensity. The workouts themselves are completely scalable, which means a new participant and a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout with changes in load and intensity. CrossFit workouts will deliver phenomenal fitness in and of themselves or as a compliment to your sport-specific training regime. CrossFit’s specialty is not specializing in any one fitness style. Daily life, like many sports and professions (even combat) requires broad levels of fitness. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind.

If you are someone who:
• Is looking to get in shape but can’t face going to a gym;
• Has lost interest in your gym routine;
• Thinks you don’t have time to exercise;
• Is looking to get faster or stronger in your sport, OR
• Is no longer seeing results with your current training

Then CrossFit is for YOU. Our classes take place at the Primus (our East Orlando gym) or a local park. Every workout is different! Since you will rarely do the same thing twice, you are less likely to lose interest or get bored than if you were doing the same circuits at the gym three days a week. Because our workouts are rarely more than 45 minutes long, they can fit into even the busiest schedules.

Finally, CrossFit is FUN! Our coaches and participants are welcoming, supportive, and committed to creating an environment where everyone can succeed.  We encourage the “group dynamic” where friendly competition and camaraderie combine to elicit extra effort, intensity and accountability. We counsel nutrition and recovery and support your personal goals.
